Do Something. Buy Nothing – MarketWatch

We were invited by MarketWatch to illustrate and animate the episode “Do Something. Buy Nothing” from the Best New Ideas in Money podcast.

The main rule of Buy Nothing is: Everything posted in groups has to be a gift. It cannot involve any kind of money exchange or even be a trade. Buy Nothing can be defined as a social movement, meaning group action, working towards a social goal. But there is a built-in contradiction in Buy Nothing, it is inherently about things and, in that sense, consumption.
