Student Debt – MarketWatch

We were invited by MarketWatch to illustrate and animate the episode “Here’s what could happen if we canceled all student debt” of the Best New Ideas in Money podcast.

US student loan debt currently stands at around $1.7 trillion. That’s a huge number to erase. But since over 90% of student loans are held by the federal government, to some extent this could be resolved with a few keystrokes. But would it be as simple as that?
